Pitang is MPS-BR Level F

In the last quarter of 2009, Pitang went through a complementary evaluation for MPS-BR Level F. Marcio Pecegueiro do Amaral, Softex's national MPS evaluator, was responsible for this evaluation and was highly complimentary of the maturity of our process.
Our Quality Team of Fabiana Leonel and Marcely Santos followed this work closely, and the evaluator interviewed staff members Claudia Jardelino, João Carlos and Marcely Santos.
This is one more victory for the entire company, once again certifying the maturity of our process and the competence of our staff, confirming all of this to the market. Congratulations!
MPS.BR is a Brazilian Software Process Improvement program coordinated by the Association for the Promotion of Brazilian Software Excellence (Softex), with backing from the Ministry of Science and Technology, (MCT), FINEP (Research and Projects Financing), and from the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB).
The program is CMMI compatible
There are seven levels of maturity in the program, which allows for it to be gradually implemented in a manner that is suitable to micro, small and medium sized companies.
The levels are: G - Partially Managed, F - Managed, E - Partially Defined, D - Defined, C - Widely Defined, B - Quantitatively Managed and A - Being Optimized.
Level F - Managed, the level at which Pitang was evaluated, is the equivalent of level 2 of CMMI. It has 6 RAP`s (Process Attribute Result): Requirements Management, Projects Management, Measurement, Acquisition, Configuration Management and Quality Management.
